Kristen Bazen discovered the magic of the written word in elementary school, and she completed her first novella in fifth grade. Now, she mainly writes speculative fiction with a Middle Eastern flavor and strong Christian themes.

Every so often, she writes poetry to process life’s difficult seasons, and finds that collecting words on a page helps lead her back to the God of hope and light.

When she’s not working or writing, Kristen dabbles in languages, trains in martial arts, and raises awareness on how ordinary people can fight human trafficking.
