Nightshade Publishing® was founded in 2019 by Xanna Renae. In 2022 Willow Whitehead joined the team!
Nightshade Publishing’s mission is to publish the stories that inspire the beauty in chaos. Our goal is to steadily grow as a traditional publishing house. Currently we only publish anthologies. We hope to be able to publish other author’s novels within the next few years.
Xanna Renae loves daydreaming about how to save her characters from the messes she puts them in. Currently she is giving life to the ideas inside her head from rural Missouri. She has a bachelor of arts in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University, where she graduated with highest honors.
When she isn’t writing you can find her tucked away in her little bungalow house reading, snuggling with her cat, or playing video games with her husband.
Her current works include, her debut novel, Down With the Prince,
and various anthologies by

Balloon Children, Of Ink & Paper, The Willow Tree Swing, and her own collection of short stories and poems Through the Violet Redwoods.
Willow Whitehead has a love/hate relationship with writing, the words will spill onto the page faster than she can type, or she’ll stare at a blank document for hours. Though the words always come a bit easier in the middle of the night.
Currently, she spends her days reading, drinking tea, and chasing her black cat, Z, through the woods.
