Beka Gremikova writes folkloric fantasy from her little nook in the Ottawa Valley, Ontario, Canada. Some of her first stories were human survival tales featuring animal companions and written on scrap paper her mother brought home from work, complete with her own illustrations.

Nowadays, her stories lie in the more fantastical direction, often including twists on familiar archetypes, and she enjoys a soft spot for darkly-whimsical-yet-hopeful tales.
